Biography

Prof. Dr. Ir. Syafrudin, CES, MT was initially a lecturer at the Department of Civil Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, Diponegoro University since 1988. He graduated from Bachelor of Engineering (Civil Engineering) and SP1-Water Resources Management at ENTPE Lyon France (CES) in 1991. Subsequently, he has graduated with a degree in Master of Engineering (Environmental Eng.) at the in the Faculty of Civil and Environmental Engineering ITB in 1997. In 2014, he graduated in Doctoral Program of Environmental Science at Graduate School Program, Undip. From 1994 to 1997, he was commissioned by Diponegoro University to conduct a feasibility study of the establishment of S1-Environmental Engineering Program (Bachelor Degree Program). In 1999, the Department of Environmental Engineering has just opened the admission of students. Currently the accreditation of the Department of Environmental Engineering is Accreditation A (364) according to SK BAN PT No. 114 / SK / BAN-PT / Ak-Surv / S / V / 2014. During the two periods from 1999-2008, Syafrudin served as Secretary of the Department. After completing the job as Vice Dean III of the Engineering Faculty from 2008 to 2011, he became the Head of the Department of Environmental Engineering from 2011 to 2015. His field of expertise involves urban waste management. Moreover, he has published many research articles in reputable international journals and international conference proceedings.
